All about Life :)

Sometimes Life Seems Hard To Bear

Author: Unknown
Sometimes life seems hard to bear
Full of sorrow, trouble and woe
It's then we have to remember
That it's in the valley we grow.

If we always stayed on the mountain top
And never experienced pain,
We would never appreciate God's love
And would be living in vain.

We have so much to learn
And our growth is very slow,
Sometimes we need the mountain tops,
But it's in the valley we grow.

We do not always understand
Why things happen as they do,
But I am very sure of one thing
My Lord will see me through.

The little valleys are nothing
When we picture Christ on the cross
He went through the valley of death
His victory was Satan's loss.

Forgive me Lord, for complaining
When I'm feeling so very low.
Just give me a gentle reminder
That it's in the valleys I grow.

Continue to strengthen me, Lord
And use my life each day
To share your love with others
And help them find their way.

Thank you for the valleys, Lord
For this one thing I know
The mountain tops are glorious
But it's in the valleys I grow.

Finally i reached the finishing line :)

Yes! I did it!! The graduation day that I have waited long ago…finally arrived! I was so excited that I couldn’t sleep the whole night, afraid of being late.:P I tried to recall my year 2000 graduation day…gosh! I couldn’t recall at all! Hmmm…never mind, because this time I am going to make it a memorable one! That’s why I need to record down somewhere so that when I reach 50 years old…I can recall back all the sweet memories. :P

What impressed me most was, the graduation ceremony was filled with an air of grandeur! Back in 2000, UMS was still very new and the Chancellor Hall was still under construction, so we did not get the chance to graduate at the Chancellor Hall. Fortunately, this time around we get the opportunity to graduate here and the Convocation committee did an excellent job, all the process went on flawlessly...kudos to the team!!

Our group was scheduled in the 1st session, and we were quite fortunate because our MBA course was the earliest recipient immediately after the PHD graduates.:P The queuing system was awesome, and we wouldn’t need to organize ourselves according to alphabetical order. We could queue in any order we like, so I chose to queue with my good buddy..Noami Lim. UMS implemented the touch and go system, all we needed to do is scan the individual card and the name will automatically be projected at the huge screen followed with an announcement our names..! Woww!! So cool huh? Hehe..:)

The most anticipated and exciting moment was “the grand procession”, I really love the feeling! The grand entrance was rather a spectacular sight! The moment when I stepped inside the hall, I felt like I was on top of the world. It was of mixed emotion...on one hand, proud of being there and happy for myself but on the other hand, sad of leaving my campus life again!! The atmosphere was lively and accompanied by the wonderful melodies played by UMS ochestra...the music was great too!!

It was indeed my happiest moment as my parent, hubby and sister were there to celebrate my joyful moment. I really love this kind of feeling...hmmm, I guess I am gonna to do it one more time J

The Cloud Above

Does the cloud in the sky mean anything to you?  Have you ever wonder why the cloud keeps on moving and changing its shape? Sound like a kindergarten question huh?

I had been admiring the beautiful and magnificent cloud lately. Every day during my 40 minutes journey to work, I will definitely look and greet the cloud. Sometimes, if I am with someone, I will definitely tell my passengers to look at the cloud, “It is so beautiful”! However, lately I hardly see the cloud, oh ya! It was raining season, the cloud was crying heavily!

I am still wondering how the clouds present itself against the backdrop of the sky, how come for the past 30 years I never noticed the cloud. It’s really magnificent and awesome! The puffy cloud reminded me of our art class when we were young. The cloud has been identified as puffy and white. How innocent our childhoods were! Last week I was with my gal friend, enjoying 45 minutes joyride to our depot at Sepangar Bay. Along the way, there was a spot that I love most, if you notice there is a hilly part where you can see overall view of the Sepangar Port, 20 meter right after the Karambunai Resort junction.  That’s the spot that I can view the cloud clearly!

However, the cloudy and dark sky sometimes made me worry especially when I was onboard, am I ready for the bumpy flight again? There was once when I flew with Air Asia the flight journey was bumpy due to the thick cloud and it almost stopped me from traveling again! It took me more than 3 months to get rid of my phobia of flying again.  Despite all the bad experience that I have encountered, I still can’t stop set my eyes on the beautiful cloud. I will definitely pause for a second and admire the beautiful creation of God. (^_^)

"Life is what's happening when you're too busy to notice." -Wayne Muller

In the relentless busyness of modern life, we have lost the rhythm between work and rest. The word “I am so busy.” keep on coming out from our own mouth.

I noticed that when I asked my friends how they were doing, they inevitably responded “busy” instead of “good.” That’s what we called modern life, and whether you’ve a stay-at-home mom, a work-at-home-mom, childless, single, a student—chances are, you’ve got commitments that multiply when you’re not looking. Everyone’s insanely busy.

The busier we are, the more important we seem to ourselves and, we imagine, to others. To be unavailable to our friends and family, to be unable to find time for the sunset (or even to know the sun has set) and this has become the model of a successful life.

Yet the more our life speeds up, the more we feel weary, overwhelmed, lost. Our life and work rarely feel light, pleasant or healing. Instead, as it all piles endlessly upon itself, the whole experience of being alive begins to melt into one enormous obligation. Because we do not rest, we lose our way. We miss the compass points that show us where to go, the nourishment that gives us succor, the quiet that gives us wisdom.

Rest is not just a psychological convenience, but a spiritual and biological necessity. So, I think I need a holiday..:)

Is it over....yet ??

Studying is my passion…I love study but I hate exam and assignments…hehe…☺ today was the “D” day for my thesis submission…fuuuhh!!!! What a relief!!! We had been struggling very hard for the past few months …amending the same thesis again and again not once but more than you can imagined…☺ I have wasted more than 10 reams of papers just to complete this thesis…partially was company’s papers…hehehe…on loan basis ok..:) I still remembered 4 years ago, I decided to take up this course just because I wanted to divert my attention..i was having a major turbulence in my career path…and taking up this course was the best remedies… I should thanked God for the trials that HE set for me and had given me a chance to explore other opportunity in life. I believe that everything that happens in our life come with a reason. God wanted me to be strong…☺ These 4 years had taught me to be stronger, mature and emotionally independent..:) The journey is not as smooth as silk…we faced a lot of challengers along the way…sometimes you feel like giving up..there was once when I felt like giving up because I almost reached the finish line but something bad happened and it held back my dream.. that’s life!!! The hardship is unexplainable but everyone went through it…so did I ☺

Busy...busy..busy..??

Extracted from Faithbook Quotes & Scriptures :-

If you enter into My rest, you will find rest from all your striving.

One thing that marks the orphan world system that we live in is the absense of the ability to rest. Busy, busy, busy. There is so much to do in too little time to do it. Rushing from work to home, rushing from home to work. Rushing to do the groceries, driving the kids to sports, going to church, etc. Throw in the thousands of media messages that we all get bombarded with every day. Busy, busy, busy.

It is exhausting just thinking about it. God is calling each one of us into a deep Sabbath rest in the very core of our being. While on the outside this might appear like pure inactivity and therefore unproductive, I believe the very opposite is true. When we allow ourselves to come into a place in our hearts where we cease from our own works, we are demonstrating in a very practical way that we are relying on God to work on our behalf.

This very real form of trust moves the heart of our heavenly Dad in a way that nothing else can. As long as we try to do all the work ourselves, carrying the weight of the world on our shoulders, we will be trying to do the work in our own strength. When we come to a place where we can slow down in our hearts and quiet the busyness that resides in the depths of our soul, we will find the Prince of Peace waiting for us to join Him.

Sure work needs to get done, groceries need to get bought, kids need to be driven to their various activities. But I believe it is our Papa's heart that we enter into a deep Sabbath rest in our hearts where we cease from all own striving and join Him in His rest. May God give each one of us wisdom today to show us how we can labor to enter into that place of rest.

I asked for strength and God gave me difficulties to make me strong.
I asked for wisdom and God gave me problems to solve.
I asked for prosperity and God gave me brawn and brains to work.
I asked for courage and God gave me dangers to overcome.
I asked for patience and God placed me in situations where I was forced to wait.
I asked for love and God gave me troubled people to help.
I asked for favors and God gave me opportunities.
I received nothing I asked for....
But God gave everything I really needed. Praise God! ♥
